The University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück (Hochschule Osnabrück, HSOS) is the largest university in Lower-Saxony, Germany. It offers a wide range of academic programs and is known for its focus on practical education and applied research. The university has several faculties, including engineering and computer science, business and social sciences, as well as agricultural sciences.
In the research group for mobile communications at HSOS, we conduct research on wireless communication technologies, with a particular focus on Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Our work includes the development and analysis of communication protocols, performance evaluations, and the design of energy-efficient communication systems. This includes security aspects of communication networks and the use of physical layer security.

Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) is located at the heart of the metropolitan Ruhr. It has 21 faculties and hosts 38.000 students, covering engineering, humanities, natural science, and medicine.
The chair on system security at RUB conducts research on mobile network security. This covers the establishment of secure connections, and the operationalization of 5G security tests. The primary objective of SysSec is to identify security vulnerabilities in the components of 5G infrastructure to be able to sustainably secure the infrastructure.
The chair on digital communication systems conducts research on 6G mobile networks and physical layer communication, with a specific focus on reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) and AI-native joint computing and communication. This contains theoretical and experimental works on multi-antenna systems, signal processing techniques, resilience, and various aspects of physical layer security.

Since 2012, TU Dresden has been one of the German Universities of Excellence and is one of the leading and most dynamic research institutions in Germany.

At the Chair of Privacy and Security, we explore and design communication systems that meet privacy and security demands. Our research focuses on secure and privacy-preserving designs in distributed systems, ranging from information privacy and anonymization to trustworthy data networks and resilient, decentralized architectures. We approach these challenges as system architects, combining technical innovation with interdisciplinary perspective to develop principled solutions.

As one of the first academic chairs in Germany dedicated to privacy, the chair continues its tradition of research at the intersection of privacy, security, and communication systems.

Within the IGEL-AI project the Chair of Privacy and Security focus on physical layer based group key generation.
